Markus Lindgren went into sudden cardiac arrest at the hotel during his participation in an agility competition. His heart stopped beating. His partner Enya Habel performed CPR and called 911. He was rushed to the hospital, went into a coma. Yet six months later, he ran at the Agility World Championship for Sweden.

In this episode of The Champion's Journey, Markus and Christoffer go deep on the one thing that made that comeback possible: freedom from expectations. Markus talks openly about setting a goal most handlers would never say out loud, why he could commit to it fully while being completely okay with failing, and how he has been trying to rebuild that mental state ever since.

If you have ever set a goal for your agility career and then quietly lowered it to protect yourself from disappointment, this one is for you.
